Vallegrull
Vallegrull is the second highest limestone cliff in the park, and from it we will enjoy unparalleled views.
The hike begins at the Lalastra parking area. We cross the village, passing the visitor center, the Ethnographic Museum, and the recreation area, and leave the road that leads to Lahoz to take a cobbled track on the left. We are now on the path that will take us to the hermitage of San Lorenzo. We pass a mill, cross the Purón River, and reach the ruins of Villamardones (20 minutes). We cross the abandoned village to the remains of the church. Next to it, the path enters a forest of beech and Scots pine trees. As we approach the hermitage, the terrain opens up and the path climbs again (45 minutes). Once we have reached the hermitage, we will head left towards the Vallegrull ridge. Upon reaching the junction with a signpost (0h.55′), we will take the path to the right, which ascends to the summit ridge. We will walk alongside the precipice until we reach the summit (1h.20′).
We will descend via the same route we took to ascend.
